“good” and “bad”

when Carrie Lam became the chief executive of Hong Kong, people mostly welcome. esp. we, female;

contrary, when Trump got elected, we thought disaster coming.

we now all know what happened

despite Trump has done many drastic / unreasonable acts, he seems to be the one to crack down an equally crazy or even more so regime.

police are suppose to maintain order, protect citizens… now the world see what can happen…

protesters are normally considered aggressive, agitated, not calm, un wise,… until the world saw the 2 million peaceful march…

that’s why it’s better not to label / judge / classify. … all of which depends much on the past.

to see the positive under all circumstances and have faith that all happens for a higher purpose will certainly help creates a better world.

all is well. and will only be better

true warriors

very often are not those heavily armed soldiers but those being persecuted for political, religious or no reasons at all and being tortured in concentration camps …. or under daily threats….

u don’t have a voice, but suffered consciously, accepting it all, try hard to survive. some courageous and wise enough to let the world know what is happening in hell, others managed to run away and bravely testify….

to those who did not make it, Akal Akal Akal

may you all rest in peace, and know that what u have suffered will not go wasted. you have sacrificed your lives to reveal the unbelievable, so that the world can all stand up to stop those very unconscious acts.

to those who bravely involved in revealing the truth, my wholehearted salutation to you!

to those who are still suffering, hang on, for dawn is close

u r the true warriors, without a name, a face, the glory…, but will always be respected and remembered by all.

we owe u a lot. for u bear all the sufferings so that the mass can wake up.

may we all have faith, that light shall always prevail, it’s only a matter of time.

Blessings be to all

Incense

u burn up yourself to fill up the whole place

dissolve the form, to become a much more pervasive formless;

like a candle, that melts to light up the space, yet much more lingering…

the scent of u purifies, energizes, calms, heals…

reminds me of an ancient chinese poem :

浩蕩離愁白日斜,吟鞭東指即天涯;
落紅不是無情物,化作春泥更護花

the last 2 sentences refers to a falling flower turning into mud to better protect other flowers.

i believe this should be the same for each human beings, that we invest our precious time, energies, efforts, resources.. not only for our own well being, but for the betterment of all and next generation as well.

only then can the human race continue to thrive, and awake from much unconscious thoughts and actions.

Blessings be to all

flame

since my dad passed away about 2 years ago i have been lighting a candle at home almost every night.

it is a box of red nontoxic small round candles bought from chi lin nunnery. each with a very nicely protruding 5-petaled flower on top.

i am always intrigued by how the petals slowly melt away without overflowing, such small item with so meticulous design.

even just watching that small flame is very meditative.

isn’t it an amazing thing? with the right condition a small flame can burn down a whole building

something with such great potential can yet be so gentle and humble.

we all have this flame / seed inside us. each of us is an opportunity for the One Consciousness to blossom.

over time, more of us will awake to light up the world

I am

You are

the light of the world 🙂

Namaskar Too Too

it was winter when a pink fluffy rabbit (not real! hahaah) found its way to us. it came as a free gift when my husband bought an electronic warm pad.

very soon it became my best buddy and accompanied me through many cold and lonely nights and days.

only recently did i realise a deeper role it plays : kind of like my inner child manifested as something very cuddly, loving, cute…

a few years ago a psychic reader told me that i need to mother myself to heal my very deep wounds. i suddenly realised this is truly a wonderful gift from the universe to remind me that i need to pamper myself all the time.

this may be true for many others as well. just “incidentally” watched a program about a restaurant owner who makes very cute kids meal. she said surprisingly many adults appreciate that, too!

we all carry a pain body, big or small. healing will be much more effective if we choose to heal our own wounds, instead of looking outside and rely on someone else.

after all, we are the love we seek. by connecting with that deeper dimension we can always find the joy and peace we so sought after.

bittersweet

when we were small, most of us like sweet things : candies, ice cream, soft drinks…

while we may still like those things when we get older, most of us start to appreciate more bitter substances like dark chocolates, coffee, bitter gourds…

i was told when i was small that when one starts to appreciate bitter gourd, one is getting old! hahaahah

true for myself though!

i believe that has to do with our ability to embrace more as we experienced all the “goods” and “bads”. somehow we managed to incorporate / even transform the “not so good” into something that made us feel good, or at least tolerable.

or we have developed the ability to appreciate the bitterness by sensing the sweetness / truth behind.

as Eckhart said, suffering is needed until we realised that it is not needed.

when we have learn to accept all challenges and not fuel it with unnecessary thoughts which produce sufferings, life becomes much lighter / easier, like the the way we appreciate dark chocolates / coffee 🙂

may we be grateful for all challenges, for they all represent opportunities for awakening / greater consciousness.

have faith that all is well. and will only be better

Head Down

i like modern dance and yoga.

one common feature of their movements being there are quite many curling, rolling, bending, folding, kneeling, bowing… where the head / upper body get very close to the ground.

i always enjoy the feeling of making oneself very small, like a ball / get most parts of my body in touch with the floor / bend down with legs straight so that the head gets very close to the ground…

it is very interesting how, by simply performing those movements / staying in a position that one naturally becomes humble / grateful / thought free / relaxed / in touch with our true essence….

certainly benefit not just our physical health but the whole system.

it might actually be quite essential to drop our head / mind often, so as to create more space in our daily lives / correct imbalances.

may we all have greater consciousness to realise that we are not our minds, though it can be a great tool, so that we shall not be too trapped by all the thoughts it produced.

Blessings be to all

Trust

what’s the reason behind a great need for control / inability to trust others?

fear possibly.

usually based on unhappy / even horrible childhood / earlier experience.

i have heard, that even leaders of a country who have stepped down for a long time remained targets of assassination, not to mention the incumbent.

imagine the pressure when one is subject to the risk of being killed any moment. i am sure nothing material ever can compensate for that.

it is very likely that they are motivated by survival instinct, though of course there are others who are driven by very power hungry egos

although on a much smaller and severe scale, parenting experience might provide some insights.

i have been repeated warned that my kid might turn very “bad” studying at a non mainstream school. students smoke, take drugs, drink, start dating very early…

like many parents, i also attempted to regulate behaviour of my kid by giving her “stars”, like points, which can be used to redeem something like a gift / other things she likes

very quickly i found myself unable to stick to that. i simply cannot stand that kind of constant judging, assessing, evaluating… very tiring, unnecessary and unpleasant indeed.

i ended up setting a much higher standard for my kid who was then still very small : that she can do whatever she wants, but needs to be responsible for all consequences of her actions.

i.e. to treat her like an adult even when she was only 6/7 .

the result : truly amazing

not only did she not picked up any “undesirable habit / activities” , nor made any “mistakes”, she grows up to be much more independent, courageous, conscious, global, loving and caring …than i have ever imagined.

to see her blossoms and expands magnificently is truly rewarding.

could it apply to adults as well? though many are already deeply conditioned?

if we let down our guards a bit and have greater trust in others, will that help them to “uncondition” and re-connect with their true essence easier?

sure many people have seen photos of a baby sitting safely next to a tiger playing innocently.

even animal can sense if a human is hostile / friendly. they will not attack unnecessarily.

it starts with each of us. no matter how we have been hurt, if we can treat each moment anew and not allow our past to influence us too much, we certainly can create a better future.

Blessings be to all

Peace Beacons

we feel most comfortable in our own skin when we are in touch of our true nature : the very source of creation that underlies all form identities and egos.

we just be . at ease. relaxed. yet alert. contented.

that is when we connect with all other life forms / nature that are doing the same :

a blossoming flower;

a running river,

swimming fishes, singing birds…

they never know by just being themselves at their most natural state they are already sending lots of good vibes to the the world, facilitating others to connect with their own source.

may we all learn to slow down a little, create more space of emptiness / nothingness, when our minds can rest, and our hearts rejoice.

together we create vibrations of peace much more powerful than violence to restore divine order.

Blessings be to all

Home Sweet Home

recently a few programs recorded a few years ago popped up. all about emigration of HK people to other places.

the push-pull factor is common for all. while some settled very well into a new place, others still have their hearts very much tied to this homeland.

John Tsang, who himself ran for CE election and lived in US before, said he ran for election because he did not want to see many more people leaving, for he understood how it feels like to be away from this place we have long considered home.

i was very moved. if only he was the CE….things might be very different

we were the generation of very little political sensitivity / concern. when we were small, most people very poor. many lived in crowed public housing. to improve financial conditions becomes almost the only goal for many.

after half a century, things finally gets a bit better, our children now adults, we are a bit better off than before though still under great pressure of high property price.. it should be the time for a very relaxed life, to do things we did not have the chance to do while we were young, or simply enjoy the ordinariness of everyday life.

yet, alas, comes this extradition bill and the subsequent use of excessive force on peaceful demonstrators….. the whole town was stunned, big blow…

even people like us who are not used to express our views publicly feel an urge to speak up / stand out. for justice, peace, harmony, and our next generation..

there are many cute babies / toddlers near where we live. their innocence and happy faces reminds me that i have to do something. there is also a poster i just saw lately saying something like “it is that difficult to have dinner with family members at home”? the purpose is to ask the mass to join 612 protest.

i believe the common goal for many is the same : simple life , happy times with family and friends, enjoy meals together, have a cup of tea, eat some buns 🙂

when even this very basic human right is threatened so that everyone needs to live in fear, all will have no doubt to stand up and defend this bottom line.

how then becomes the next question.

may we all remember there are many options. violence might not be needed. thoughts are powerful tools.

have faith that the divine order shall be restored. that there is a place for temporary disorder, for it is usually during great sufferings/ imbalances that the mass awaken quickly, and transformation occurs.

Blessings be to all
