year of the Rat 2020

certainly a very special new year

a few day before the lunar new year, i had the 3rd jazz funk lesson with daughter at club house! hahahah… something i have not tried before!

lucky enough to have a very professional and patient teacher + other friendly classmates.

on 12/28 lunar, we visited science park. a very quiet night . enjoyed wonderful dessert and tea overlooking the sea + nice and generous staff who offered us wonderful service and even offered to buy us cakes.

29 , a quiet alone walk at sai kung seeing big egrets, old friends.. 2 organic shops and a fashion boutique we used to visit were closed.

30, another unplanned visit to a soup shop at city one at night . home feel like nice staff, saw very cute pe pe held by a couple walked by ..

then at mid night , a suspected wu han virus case was confirmed here at our estate. club house shut down for deep cleansing on 1/1 lunar and staff in full gear were deployed. ..

most people now wear masks.

luckily people r in general still calm. no panic. still giving out lai sees, greeting each other

after almost 2 months prc finally admit the outbreak and take drastic measures to shut down the whole wu han over night, with other cities and province quickly follow suit

meanwhile, the virus keep spreading fast globally. confirmed cases in many countries

just a few months ago govt imposed anti-mask law, now even the police wear it, big irony

and , remember the fear / threat of shutting down hk under the “emergency ordinance”?

now more and more major cities of the 1 country is locked out.

and , thanks to sars 17 yrs ago, hkers r much less fearful , yet more prepared to cope with unknown virus.

great examples of the constant shift between yin / yang, good/bad…

as with everything, there r pros and cons.

threat / danger / risks force us all to live more presently, gratefully.

this year, more people greet each other “good health” , instead of “getting rich”, and both the giver and receiver of red packets appear to be more genuine in their blessings. ..

all r reminded to be grateful for life / the very basic survival

may we all learn much again from this challenge, that all needs to be transformed be completed well and fast

let all no longer required be purified, cleansed, cleared, re organised….

looking forward to a new order, new earth

blessings be to all

the sat. before chinese new year

it was a very longed for trip. 2 months after the war at cu near bridge 2, i finally had a chance to visit nearby areas.

very surprisingly escalators leading to the cafe + cafe entrance still closed with repair work ongoing.

even more unexpected was how so many people turned up at the cafe / nearby which normally is rather quiet on sat. .

people need to line up to take the lift, and staircases full of people going up and down.

later i realised there was a conference about positive thoughts. free talks open to public. i had a glimpse into the lecture room. very full.

3rd surpise : big group of birds, probably heron, flying over lotus pond. a sight i have not seen before. big contrary to what one might expect : a decline in no. of wildlife there after much teargas.

again, there were many signs of silver lining after that battle :

“old couples” / “elderly” strolling at lotus pond, talking about that incident 2 months ago , or simply quietly stood and look at the sports ground, which was devastated before, still closed…

many people, mostly non cuers, came to attend the conference, generating much positive energies at this place where healing / balancing is much needed

up at the hill, a team of people taking wedding photos, alumni with kid searching their names on plate or simply sitting for a while, others took photos at the iconic outdoor theatre…

me also enjoyed some quiet alone time sitting, enjoying a sip of tea , cake.. realising that this has rarely happened in the past 30+ yrs…

that’s the beauty of choas / disturbances : great lesson of impermanence of all forms thus making one live more thankfully and consciously

i look forward to much more deep V rebounce, knowing and having faith that all serve a higher purpose, though might be very challenging / heart breaking.

may we all get stronger, wiser, more loving, conscious….

Blessings be to all

silver lining

it was such a big fire in Australia that got the world’s attention. big areas of forests burnt down, along with many animals. so serious that koalas might now become endangered species again, and smoke flowing to other countries.

certainly not pleasant

yet there r also heart warming moments when people even risk their own lives to save injured animals / open up their homes to provide intensive care / volunteers helping at animal hospitals / people feeding dehydrated koalas with water / donations pouring in worldwide / very good response for adoption program…

2 footage / photo that inspired me a lot :

a koala curled up on the ground. alone. the whole nearby area burnt down

found by a volunteer . looked up . got rescued.

a kangaroo eating carrots dropped by helicopters, probably wondering where the foods come from when the forest is gone

imagine when we r in the same situation. hopeless. exhausted. don’t know what to do. … then help appear from no where.

this is the time when people unite to save those in need; give more attention to protecting endangered species / natural habitat ; re consider some ancient wisdom of the aborigines…

some rain has fallen lately. hope it will not be long before the fire completely extinguish.

and God bless phillipines as well where there was a very serious volcano eruption at Taal island lately that cover many areas in ash and shut down airport / schools… even far away.

may mother earth be healed, balanced, soothed of its pain…

akal akal akal to all those ascended

and a speedy recovery / regeneration for all those injured.

1st full moon 2020

4 am. the bright full moon was above the sea, making it a “silver lake”

on the other side of the sky, the big dipper clearly seen

a peaceful, tranquil, yet a bit mysterious sight

8 p.m. we were sitting outdoor at a restaurant at science park over looking the moon. a wonderful night, so quiet that cicadas can be heard . no wind. surprisingly not cold. no one else at the outdoor area. only the trees, the moon, some bikers passing by, and people jogging further away

had a discussion with daughter regarding some “philosophical issues” ! hahahaah

again, a big reminder of total acceptance of what is and dis identification with mental positions

earlier afternoon, alone time walking to seaside, enjoying talk of Ram Dass about conscious ageing, accompanied by a cool calm cat 🙂

the first 9 days of 2020 in fact was full of quite some sad news :

wildfire in australia keeps burning (luckily people r trying hard to save animals, and some koalas r recovering well);

a new virus from wuhan in the same group of sars was spreading quite fast locally and globally;

trump ordered a strike at baghdad airport killing a senior military commander of iran, ended in revenge attacks, soar in oil and gold price….god bless that situation seems quiet down a bit and both sides appear do not want a war;

locally, the campus of cu found safe after many tests of soil, water, air, yet a few cases of suspected new virus was found in 3 colleges, and many people were seen wearing masks..

other parts of the world, floods, earthquakes continued..

a lot might happen given the circumstances. the whole world might change over night just by a thought / decision, or simply by nature.

may we all remain centered. remembering that we r both the participant and the eternal observer.

that we remain highly conscious most of the time to accept what is, and to do whatever is possible go mitigate / create high vibrations

blessings be to all
