collapsing of the old

existing structures seem falling apart fast

political :

leaders / important member of major countries confirmed positive for the virus;

US strengthen ties with taiwan, while restricting business with prc and show off its military muscle at china’s border

a new order emerging fast

a new type of leader may take over

financial :

roller coaster ride of stock market. largest single day surge since 1933 after big dips, just to be followed by another major correction

getting more and more risky to “invest”

might be a good way to cut down people’s greed / over reliance on financial market for monetary income.

property : sure going downward as more non residents leave the place, and more business closure expected

again, correcting generations’ belief that buying property is a life time goal, the more the better, and it’s a great way to earn income ….

already many cases of selling property at a loss, even after holding it for a few years… finally a chance to ease the sky high property price that is beyond reach for most local residents

education :

schools in hk have been suspended almost for the whole year. social movement since June, then due to the virus…

great time to reflect whether formal schooling is really necessary / worth all the costs and efforts…

social gathering / personal distance

finally some legal requirements regarding space between table at restaurants, limiting no. of people per table, and capacity to 50%;

good time to reflect when so called social / family gathering is really necessary / do more harm than good.

hopefully with less chance of gossip / complain more people are forced inwards, connecting and relying more on their own intelligence rather than seeking everything from external

all in all.. a higher divine purpose behind everything that seems chaotic

it’s a time to fully accept what is, keeping full faith that this big transformation will work out well at the end. we just need some more patience, adaptability, a little dose of humor if possible, and remain the eternal grounded observer to witness unfolding of the divine plan.

a new order

rapidly properly, the old seem collapsing fast while the new sets in just about 2 months!

something almost unprecedented now becomes reality :

international exam. cancelled / postponed

olympic game boycotted

work from home

curfew

mandatory physical distance

limit no. of gathering to 2!

countries closing borders

….

what we considered so important before : good academic results, winning competitive games, need to socialize / hugging / kissing / travelling…now takes a much lower priority.

hopefully with more time alone and at home, more people will turn inward / at least reflect on what is really important in our lives.

material possession, fame, social status, physical appearance.. not as valuable as before. strong physical, mental and emotional system, peace of mind… much more important.

as in any crisis, both our brightest and darkest side might be brought to surface.

there r companies / people who reach out to help, keep sending love and light, while others, still having big egos / live in fear, anxiety..

may we all become more awakened in this big challenge.

a new world incubating fast 🙂

Blessings be to all

right the wrong

almost 2 months since the “wuhan virus” came to public attention, some very interesting phenomenon already occurred. something beyond imagination just a few weeks ago.

the speed and intensity which the conronavirus hit the world has caused a “flip”, which, though on the surface seem undesirable, might actually be good for the long run.

the most obvious is increase in personal space / maintaining social distance, though it will be better if that is due to increased awareness instead of fear.

some stores have marks on floor to prevent people lining up for payment to get too close; exam. centre increase space between each candidate; gov’t considering to limit pax on bus so that it will not be too full / crowded..

the hardest hit countries r those most famous for luxurious brands / plastic surgeries. now lvmh is producing hand sanitizer and sourcing mask. ..

sudden and drastic detachment from strong form identity / emphasis on appearance.

pubs, night clubs, restaurants .. closed. – less time for unhealthy drinking , gossiping,,, instead, more quiet alone time at home for reflection, spiritual awakening…

what previously considered a pride / honor now becomes a big source of trouble: air travel, cruise trip, studying / working/ living overseas…

like Eckhart said, this certainly is a great opportunity for massive awakening when each of us is forced out of our comfort zone and realised what is really important

may we all awake rapid properly

together we create a new world of joy, love and harmony so all live forms can co-exist happily

birthday

when we were small, we tend to look forward to our birthdays. the cake, gifts..

as we get older, it seems “just another birthday” esp. as we realised we r getting 1 yr older! haahahah

this yr, due to coronavirus, the planned visit to my husband on my birthday is cancelled. instead, i got a bouquet of flowers direct from prc! arriving at the perfect timing. orange and bright yellow tulips that lasted for over 10 days!

while fully aware that happiness is mostly an internal state rather than externally driven, it is still sweet to receive some goodies, esp. when one already survived for over half a century and it is from your 3-decade companion! haahhaah truly blessed.

i suddenly seem to realised why some people, even very old, still look very much forward to their own birthdays. to be the centre of attention, receiving goodies from everyone.

yet this is certainly a big trap. like Eckhart said, we spend most of our lives in the waiting room, waiting for that BIG day / those BIG moments.

i am reminded again that happiness is not only a choice but an ability.

an ability to observe, notice and be grateful for all we have / enjoying daily, and celebrate each day as if it is our birthday.

so from now on, i shall make each day my birthday. totally self reliant , self loving. keeping that festive mood high…regardless of circumstances.

this is a training for us all.

may we all be more aware of happy moments each day and fill our hearts with wonderful feelings.

this world will certainly be a much more lovely place!

Blessings be to all

silent mode

thanks to a recent online tarot reading, i finally understand quiet alone time for some people is not only a preference / luxury, but a basic need for the soul just like water/ food to the physical body.

over the years, i do realized being alone quietly, preferably outdoor with nature, is vital for maintaining a healthy system.

yet for most people, the reverse is true. and it seems noise making is on the rise. when walkman / portable music player was first produced, everyone cycle / jog with headphones on. now more people turn on speakers loud.

everywhere people talk loudly, even in nunnery /outdoor places that r suppose to facilitate us connect to nature/ our essence / the one consciousness

while there r times that communication is really needed to get messages across, i would say at least half of most conversations is not necessary, even create too much sufferings for oneself and others :

complaining about what others did / did not say or do;

judging others wrong;

to show that one is superior;

getting support / agreement from others;

imposing ideas / beliefs / concepts on others; ….

or simply want some attention like babies

how much i wish that quiet zone can be implemented in restaurants / cafes asap so that customer’s right to enjoy zen eating can be respected.

of course a more fundamental way would be for the mass to turn on their silent mode more often.

it takes much consciousness to observe our thoughts, therefore words. and certainly takes time for one to turn inward and connect more often with our true essence / high soul / the source instead of focusing on externals.

it is an ability to enjoy being alone. cutting down talking can be the first step.

may we all turn on our silent mode more often and use our hearts to see, feel, connect with all..

this world will certainly become a more adorable place

too too time

probably by divine intervention, namaskar too too was brought from her birth place back to our home very last minute right before i closed the suitcase when i left hangzhou last dec. 2019.

at first i still regretted a bit for taking her away from her dad and the big home she used to enjoy esp. as it was a relatively calm dec. and jan.

now she has been with me here for almost 3 months, spending her 1st Christmas, new year, chinese new year, and my birthday with me here at our home.

her presence not only very much needed during the unexpected challenge of conronavirus, but a much deeper level of healing / awakening catalyzed by the recent turbulent collective energies.

after half a century, i finally learnt to put myself as the priority, instead of endlessly pleasing/ serving others at the expense of oneself.

the precious quiet too too time everyday is a great opportunity for me to nurture my very much wounded inner child, and to remind myself that my own well being shall come first, as this would be the best way to serve the world : a beacon of love, radiating with high frequency.

my mind have known this for years, but to put it into practice is a totally different matter. it takes courage, determination, wisdom….to say no, cut off, stay grounded despite the many pulls, … realising that nothing external – people, materials ,circumstances … can bring long lasting / real happiness

with the help of namaskar too too, i finally putting that in action.

a cuddly toy might not only essential to kids, but for adults. maybe even more so, to heal / balance more painful experience.

may we all learn to become self sufficient. knowing well that we r what we seek. be that love we so desire, and see what we can attract.

Blessings be to all

what goes up must come down

there is a chinese saying that when things get to the extreme, it will reverse

it is so amazing to have witnessed how fast situations can change / flip with this coronavirus that seem suddenly popped up from nowhere.

of course, it might have existed long time just covered up / not revealed to the public, or it has been incubating for a long time and suddenly “mature”…

anyway, it affects the whole world so quickly that our lives seem turned upside down so suddenly :

any activities / places that gather many people cancelled / closed : performance venues, churches, schools, office, sporting hall, libraries…

mainlanders, who were once so sought after by all businesses worldwide now become so unwelcoming

air travel, that were once so common / even taken for granted came to a halt

more and more countries shutting the doors to visitors from other countries / require quarantine / cancel visa free entries…

mask, an item / the product line of which almost obsolete now become the most sought after “necessities” worldwide.

tissue paper, something “so trivial”, now ran out from shelves.

businesses that were so promising before now closed down.

upscale malls once so packed with people now very empty…

it is a big reminder for us to be humble, loving, caring, sharing… knowing that the wheel is turning always, high / low; good/bad…

as Eckhart said, time of great suffering is also great opportunity for spiritual awakening.

may this happen rapidly properly

Blessings be to all

3/8/2020

a sunday, full moon, foggy day

we went the peak despite a little rain late p.m.

movie like scenery with big trees, lawns, fog, weak light from lamp posts…

surprisingly still quite many people.

families with kids, or elderly parents…

passionate tuck shop operator…

we had the privilege to try out milk tea and fresh made sandwich at the hilltop, windy, nothing to be seen, yet feeling very uplifted 🙂

a short adventure truly blessed, esp. when we noticed how heavy it has rained after we get down.

feel like such a different world only about 30 mins walk from the malls.

as the shop operator said, the virus has driven many out to the nature. sure a blessing in disguise.

more family time, health conscious, more exercise / outdoor activities, higher hygiene standards…

what appears so horrible might just be a chance to realign ourselves to the “right path”

may this joy / appreciation of nature continues after the threat stablised / fade out.

Blessings be to all

absence

we were recently selected to complete a general household survey. it was very tedious and contain many questions one never expect.

some of them r about physical / mental health e.g. is any kind of aids required for hearing / seeing / moving .. any kinds of special diseases; emotional conditions. ….

interestingly , a friend forward a link to me today showing photos of old hk probably in 50s.

kids have no shoes r common, not even pants.. people sitting / lying on the floor / staircases, working like robots in factories, pushing their ways to trains, lining up to get water during rationing period, muddy roads….

we normally focus too much on what we want but don’t have, forgetting to be grateful for the absence of things / situations that we don’t want.

may we all learn to appreciate our abundance and share it with others.

it is through greater consciousness, rather than constant accumulation of material possessions / social status …that true joyfulness can be found .

Blessings be to all

lunar birthday

it was a very blessed few hours period with sunny interval / no rain period amidst cloudy sky

almost like a private campus, i had the privileged to visit various catering outlets, seeing old friends, staying a while again after long time closure.

some decided to discontinued business, while others adapting to the new situation by changing menu / supplier / utensils, … having new seat mats, cushions, ovens, even staff…

so glad to see the vegetarian cafe even handed out free anti-plague sachets that has components same as + 2 more ingredients the one i have made.

similar challenges, different ways of coping. some quit, others adapt.

a few alumni seen bringing the whole family with kids for a walk / drawing.. something not possible before on a busy weekday .

i brought foods to feed hungry fishes this time. so glad to see there r still many big ones in the pond. still looks healthy judging from the color and vitality. the 2 big herons staying close to eye on the fishes while they gather for foods.

up in the hill, i enjoyed a sip of the lovely rooibo tea + a new red bean matcha bun with singing birds and blossoming flowers around

spring is here again. trees full of wonderful red, yellow flowers, so r cheery blossoms, bauhinia …

regeneration is on the way

time to let go of the past . with the precious lessons learnt, we create a bright future 🙂
