it was a very short talk / exercise / reading, yet certainly revealed some very important and “simple” messages
the greatest support we can offer during this challenging period is to allow ourselves to live happily every day, thereby balancing much negativity of the mass (anger, hatred, sorrow…)
the truth is : each person is suppose to live happily so as to make all around us happy.
to be happy is not only a choice but an ability.
we r often too busy to please others / fulfill our “duties” , that we neglect ourselves all the time. putting our own priorities below others…
decades after i first read the book “be happy”, i am still learning, not quite there yet but getting better.
in economic terms, provided other’s utility is not reduced, one’s top priority is to maximise his /her own utility under the given situation.
in doing so, we r also contributing to the highest good of all.
this requires a high degree of consciousness regarding one’s conditioned mind, all the “shoulds” / thoughts; and one’s genuine desires / preference; + boldness /power / strength to say no ..
a process of shifting from external focused to internal awareness, thus empowerment
many people, even very old, still complain daily about what others say / did not say ; do / did not do… the source of all trouble.
may we all learn to look inside.
to be more aware of our own thoughts , feelings, …
to have greater love and respect for ourselves.
and know that ultimately, we r just different forms of the same One Consciousness.
