Miraculous visit to Big Buddha

it was a very last minute decision. while it was planned long time ago to travel half way with my daughter to the airport ( as no well wishers allowed to enter airport now), it was very discouraging to know tung chung station still close, traffic very unpredictable, buses will not be on time, any public transport might be stopped any time…

and, with my beloved uni turned into battle field 2 days ago, and the fight still going on,… really not in the mood to take a risky long trip to big buddha…

yet an idea popped up when i was doing my morning stretching routine. ..

take back control, try go by bus, go anyway, face the fear direct, see what happen

i was a little panic at the transfer point, boarded a bus not exactly knowing where it goes. .. kind of follow intuition + a little technical help. turned out found the shortest route to the cable car station.

we were there a just last sunday. full of people. were told we had to wait 1.5 hours to get to the ticketing counter.

today, sights of violence left behind. shattered glass on floor, road…

luckily cable car still operates. and almost no one was lining up. ..

up there, another world. quiet, peaceful, though still sight of helicopter, and much fewer cows

i walked up the stairs. the mid day sun was right shining on the side of big buddha. there certainly is an energy fields that resonate deep with the soul / deep i. .. i even had the chance to sit quietly right in front of him beside the lotus holding divine being for a few minutes. showered with blessings, divine healing, love and peace..

i dare not stay long, as it might take about 1.5- 2 hours home. better leave early before traffic turns chaotic.

on the way back, there were a father and a son from isreal who have been in hk for 5 days. the dad said he likes hk a lot.

i can’t help asking if this is no big deal compared to what they experience in their country, and how they cope with it.

i have the answer, just not easy to put into action. i said it twice, he keeps nodding : take it easy, try live a normal life as much as possible, this too shall pass…

certainly a big challenge when bombarded with all kinds of “surprises” everyday. ..

students from many countries leaving, violence, injuries continue…. justice seems not upheld, ….school will be closed for a few more days…

the happiest group probably the kids. many rode bicycles / scooters / enjoyed playing outdoor in a sunny afternoon… a rare luxury to them..

up at the big buddha, there were still tourists from other countries, though mostly non chinese. tranquility returns, like at chi lin nunnery..

overall a truly blessed super healing trip.

charged again for more challenges ahead.

Ekchart’s latest course of conscious manifestation could not have come at a better time.

may we all have much greater consciousness over our minds.

that the One Consciousness will wake up from its nightmare asap.

that more of us will be conscious enough to spread hope, joy, faith, strength…

so that we can get over this deep transformation with flying colours

11.11 full moon

it was an excellent short break blessed with perfect weather, unexpected happy moments, much needed quiet peaceful alone time even in quite a “dangerous” place.

things seem quiet down a bit upon return, until last weekend, when a UST student ascended, same night, 7 legco members politically persecuted, then sunday, po entered upscale shopping malls to beat up people, and today, fired tear gas into uni campus, shot people with real bullet short distance….fired tg at central at lunch hour towards mostly office workers…

really too much for all hkers to bear.

we took a break to the seaside this p.m., luckily the small beach is still very peaceful, sun shining, waves coming in, full of power and grace…

people start food run again late p.m. fearing shops will be closed tomorrow. most bread gone, long lines in supermarkets…

we were blessed, however, with the big round rising full moon right above mountain top, right opposite the setting sun.

something very rarely seen.

an old couple walking dogs at the podium shared our joy.

a group of priests held a prayer session this morning at central. something not usual either. it was a priest i know when i was very small.

may justice and peace return asap.

that we always remember who we r at the core, and how abundantly blessed we r each moment.

that we all consciously choose our thoughts, words and deeds to make this world a better place

the nice cafe at wu kai sha

it was one of the first that opened for business when we moved into the area 4 years ago.

at that time, only phase 1 and 2 of the nearby big estate was occupied, others still construction.

we had the honor to have witnessed creation / development of the whole area from nothing, to fully occupied high rise residential buildings.

in the mean time, more new shops and people.

this little cafe is quite connected to us. chef is willing to tailor made veggie foods for us, staff r nice, friendly, seating area is bright, airy, .. and very interestingly , the owner and a few staff live very close to us. we see their family members all the time, feeling like part of them though we seldom talk about private matters.

it was very surprised to see it close down so suddenly, when just the day before i have enjoyed a very peaceful yummy breakfast, on the long table at my favorite seat.

a few people were like taking stock count of furniture, hinting that some kind of renovation is ahead. yet all staff seem very normal. not a little sign on their face / behaviour about this sudden closure.

while there have been some other more short-lived shops closed, this one certainly represents the “deepest / longest creation” going back to the source

as with all other sudden changes, will take sometime to accommodate.

yet all beautiful memories we have had at that little place will certainly long lived.

thank you very much for your company and presence for 4 years, and all wonderful moments.

we wish the place and all staff a bright new beginning and more happy moments ahead.

be happy

it was a very short talk / exercise / reading, yet certainly revealed some very important and “simple” messages

the greatest support we can offer during this challenging period is to allow ourselves to live happily every day, thereby balancing much negativity of the mass (anger, hatred, sorrow…)

the truth is : each person is suppose to live happily so as to make all around us happy.

to be happy is not only a choice but an ability.

we r often too busy to please others / fulfill our “duties” , that we neglect ourselves all the time. putting our own priorities below others…

decades after i first read the book “be happy”, i am still learning, not quite there yet but getting better.

in economic terms, provided other’s utility is not reduced, one’s top priority is to maximise his /her own utility under the given situation.

in doing so, we r also contributing to the highest good of all.

this requires a high degree of consciousness regarding one’s conditioned mind, all the “shoulds” / thoughts; and one’s genuine desires / preference; + boldness /power / strength to say no ..

a process of shifting from external focused to internal awareness, thus empowerment

many people, even very old, still complain daily about what others say / did not say ; do / did not do… the source of all trouble.

may we all learn to look inside.

to be more aware of our own thoughts , feelings, …

to have greater love and respect for ourselves.

and know that ultimately, we r just different forms of the same One Consciousness.

cotton buds

used cotton buds r extremely useful

excellent tools to clear hair / dust from vacuum cleaner, clean the rims around sink drain, or any corner not reachable by bigger brushes.

each one so fragile, soft. yet a few together, they r quite strong yet flexible, great for cleaning / clearing at an angle…

that’s the power of “being weak”. sometimes more useful than the strong steel.

human too. very often the power of silence / calmness much greater than a show of force

may we all know when to yield / surrender. and realise that this is just the feminine side of the same coin, if not more powerful.

salutation to all meek, soft, yet strong and inspiring cotton buds!

we connect

consciously / sub consciously, brave souls chose to sacrifice to reveal brutality of po/ govt / party..

stunning scenes happens almost daily, yet the most dramatic probably the bloody image of jimmy sham, convenor of peaceful protests, being attacked by 4/5 guys, ethnic minority.

wise and loving hkers transcend anger / hatred, uniting the ethnic minority, who in turn affirmed their identity as hkers and showed much friendliness to locals.

cleaning of the mosque immediately after it was hit by blue water cannon by protesters/ locals further display the embracing nature of hkers, beyond religion, race, …

it is mutual respect, kind hearts, love for justice, freedom.. etc. that bind us together.

the transformation process is certainly painful. yet it serves a very high purpose. for generations to come, for human evolution…

may all injured be soothed of their pain and recover asap. justice be uphold, peace and order restored, ..

paradise is incubating…

hang on….

the week after mask ban

unprecedented total shut down of train network for 3 days, then partially opened a few stations till 8 / 9 / 10 p.m. . even after full train service resumed, any stations can be shut down anytime.

“rioters” were blamed for damaging much facilities, though many suspect who actually did that, and if the damages were really that serious to justify shutting down the whole network / most gates…

more bodies found…

security guards arrested while performing their duties…

more young people came out to testify being sexually abused…

arrest continued. . now almost 2500, with over 750 less than 18, some as young as 12 13…

more people planning leave, even the po

while others continue to fight. gatherings in malls all over hk, flash mobs during lunch hours, ..

and, this morning, liberty lady stood on lion rock. a very strong and dedicated team must have worked very hard to carry her all the way to the top on a rainy morning.

globally, wild fire continued in LA, strongest typhoon in 60 yrs hit japan,

a meteorite fallen into china…

certainly not easy to stay sane during this challenging period, as all happened so suddenly, fast and intense

some people look lost / sad / not very focused; while others try to live/ work as if nothing happened..

may all this pass asap. so that justice is uphold, all be soothed of their pain and healed, human rights respected,

may we all advance fast and leave the old to the past

and create a new world for the highest good of all

Blessings be to all

a very special sat.

10/5/19, the day after announcement of anti-mask ban, hkers experienced a very special sat. :

total shut down of mtr for the whole day, park’n shop, watsons, fortress also closed for 1 day, wellcome, mannings, 7-11 closed at 5 p.m., many other shops did not open / off early as staff cannot report duty / need more time to get home…

we were so blessed to have enjoyed short period of sunny quiet time by seaside. there were still family with kids, bikers … though much less than usual.

moon was high up in the afternoon, very comfortable weather..

customers enjoying foods at outdoor seating..

though cash in atms were all gone, and staff in the complex wondering how to leave…

back home, there was “bread run” as well. long lines in bakery / all bread and most cakes gone…

further away at city centre, people still gather to fight against this unconstitutional ban.

miles away, the baby of my cousin waiting to be born…

how interesting all these co-exist

it is not easy to stay sane / uplifted. yet this might be the best we can do. to live, if not thrive…to fully accept the present and act, not react…

each of us can do a little to help, even a smile, a positive respond, an attentive look, sharing foods with birds, a flash of light…. or simply be an alert presence.

remember always we r never alone. this too shall pass. madness only indicates / facilitates arrival of dawn….

last week of sept. 19

this is certainly a very special period.

feels like a volcano heating up ready for an explosion.

again, events escalate on both sides:

enormous support from various parts of the world, esp US, with many concrete plans waiting / have been implemented….

while suppression continues locally, with more arrest, greater brutality, targeting reporters, social workers, first aiders, even simply passers by

today, on 70th “b. day” of mainland, for the first time, a teenager was shot by real bullet close distance.

the hearts of all hkers r with him for a speedy recovery.

personally, rash also spread fast. intense itch. very lucky to have found a kind and competent chinese medical dr. . situation under control before it gets too bad.

emotionally also experienced a big unexpected pour out…

then , a very interesting / inspirational discussion with daughter, again, unexpectedly, that seems to provide much comfort / healing / peace..

last night, we met a group of local residents on our way home, chanting slogans, singing songs. lighting up flash lights.. then more passers by joined…

residents nearby beamed the group from their homes to acknowledge their support…

interesting feelings how “strangers” can connect.

it’s heart breaking to watch when taiwan police formed human chain to protect protesters, while those in HK treat people so inhumanly

yet dawn must be very close, now that the whole world is waking up

some predict it might take a few years. that was using the past to predict future. yet situation is very different now. people have higher level of consciousness, much better informed of the truth….

just be an alert presence to facilitate unfolding of the divine plan.

an eternal observer and participant.

and be amazed by how “miracles” might happen any time.

Blessings be to all

precious quiet p.m.

it was a sunny windy sunday p.m. . we walked for about 20 mins. to the seaside, which was as usual packed with kite flyers.

there is cafe with outdoor seating which we have been visiting for 10+ years. thanks to the foods that made me so sick last time, we decided to try out the one next to it.

turned out to be a very pleasant surprise. we know it exists long time ago. even visited once or twice. yet never gone into the air-conditioned area.

a round table right in front of 3 wall paintings await. lotuses in the middle + 2 smiling buddhas on both sides.

the area was nicely covered in yellow cloth, lanterns still hanging above (it was 1 week after mid-autumn festival).. 9 of the 10 tables were occupied, yet it was very quiet. people amazingly enjoy the wonderful thai / indian foods quietly.

there were families with kids / 2-3 friends combination… very peaceful. all seem to be bathing in the soothing energies of buddha and lotus amidst all challenges.

after the sweet surprise, we walk back as usual. one of the two benches by the sea was empty. like reflex action we sat down. very rarely do we sit there though we go pass it very often.

weather was excellent. not too hot nor cold, sun shining warmly. quite windy, thus very beautiful view and sound of waves coming in…

in front of us, family with kids playing on the rocky beach; next to us. a dad preparing a kite for his kid…

it was as jammed packed as on a normal sunday, yet everyone seem a bit quieter. kind of savoring the precious nature and peace while it lasts, knowing very well that something very different is going on not too far away.

personally, deep detox / purification continues, with sudden flare up of very itchy rash / lumps on various parts of body. something that has not happened for quite some time.

tension certainly building up as there is only 1 week to the 70th anniversary of ccp , and violence continued last weekend…

may we all find peace, faith and hope in the NOW.

for this is how we co-create the impossible. by realising we r not our past.

by being fully present thus allowing the universe to work through us with max. efficiency.

a new earth is incubating…

Blessings be to all
