God Bless Hong Kong

Hong Kong people made history again when 2 million protested peacefully against the extradition bill on 16 June 2019, 1 week after a 1 million turnout the previous sunday

it was a hot Father’s Day. many parents joined also.

sure the whole world was moved by how orderly and sensibly the event happened, esp. when the crowd parted automatically to allow ambulances to go through.

i salute to all those who joined. particularly glad to see the younger generation care so much about this city, instead of just dressing up nicely, taking photos and post on social media… (which is a rather common scene in more affluent places in china)

may we all remain faithful, hopeful, and see the positive even in “bad situations”. if we had not been pushed to the corner, HK people probably will not be so united to defend their basic human rights.

if all goes well, many will take for granted the freedom and prosperity that HK has long enjoyed.

by chance or by fate, this small city has become focus of the world / battlefield of all major powers.

we are fighting not only for our own freedom, but probably the big unconsciousness behind a powerful regime.

May Light Shine Through.

I am that I am

I am the Light of the World

each of us can light up the world

all support from overseas is well received. Together we create a more loving, sane, harmonious, peaceful and joyful world.

Blessings be to All!

Wonderful Hong Kong People

Hong Kong is truly a special place. for historical reasons, colonized by UK, returned to China in 1997 under “one country two systems”.

such a small crowded place with sky high property price, people live in peace, businesses flourish, …

i was 100% “made in HK”. for over half a century, this is my home.

when we were small, most people were not rich. there is a famous “under the Lion Rock” spirit with which everyone worked hard, remained hopeful, positive… study hard, get a good job, improve family finances…

that’s why HK people sometimes considered very money oriented, not very interested politics.

that was until 89.6.4. event in Beijing. 30 years later, HK is still the place where annual vigil is held.

the 97 handover witnessed massive emigration.

personally we were also given a chance to leave for Singapore, but chose to stay. our older generation, who had more first hand experience of what happened under the communist party rule, chose to leave.

22 years past. things still seem ok in general until the very recent proposed amendment of extradition law that raised concerns from all parts of the world, and various types of organisations in HK. something that has never happened before.

religious groups, teacher associations, lawyers, business sector….

more than one million took to the street on 9 June peacefully

then alas, the government decided to press on with the reading.

people seem like to have reached the boiling point. when nothing happened after obeying rules of the games for so long and use every means to voice all concerns / suggestions, violence appears to be the last resort.

of course no one wants to see such a chaotic HK. Most HK people are sensible, loving, caring individuals. when their basic rights are endangered, however, they will certainly stand up to defend their freedom / safety / human rights… and this lovely place they still considered home.

u all can help by sending lovely blessings. thoughts are energies. all good vibes will certainly be received.

Consciousness/ Light shall prevail. It’s only a matter of time and how.

Blessings be to all !!

when no law is needed

I long for the time when human beings become so developed that no law is needed.

when everyone so conscious, loving, self-motivated … that no one will harm another

when everyone works towards the highest good for all

when “otherness” disappeared and there is only “we”

not only among fellow human beings, but mother earth, even the cosmos.

no contract needed as everyone is trust worthy, honest…

then life will certainly be much more simple, joyful, easy… and we shall all start living and flourish.

neighbor

our neighbors are very special people. they mostly are people we don’t know of, yet they might affect us much greater than our family members or relatives who don’t live close to us :

we hear their conversations / music they play;

we smell foods they cook;

we know if there is an argument / heated debate / children yelling…

we know when they sleep, shower, walk, do works that make a noise (e.g. drilling…), play an musical instrument…

their life style affect us quite a lot particularly if the building materials not quite sound proof, flats are very close to each other, and people r not really considerate / conscious.

we have the luck to have an upstairs neighbor who stay up late until 3 – 4 a.m. each night and like particularly listening to music very loudly.

it was so unbearable at the beginning that we thought of moving out very shortly after we moved in. even 1 night was intolerable as they kept making noises throughout the night despite our repeated efforts to solve the problem. i was devastated.

calling the police was the last resort we still have not done till now.

the amazing thing is, Eckhart Tolle also came into my life around the same period, and i did use this opportunity to practise totally acceptance / surrender…

the result being we are still here after almost 3 years. our neighbour do improve a little yet the basic pattern remain the same. i thank them for the wonderful lesson that made me much more conscious and present than before.

i have read :

people come to you

for a reason;

for a season;

for a life time.

may we respect all life forms that come to us anytime, and see the positive despite possible challenges / “bad” on the surface. for there is always a deeper meaning to all that happens, particularly sufferings, which very often is the teacher of awakening.

door

Dear Door,

i salute to you!

u were part of a tree, very much alive. people cut u down, made u into various shapes, colors, …

u stand between 2 worlds, sometimes a gateway into something totally different.

people use u a lot, yet seldom respect u enough.

they slam u / treat u rudely, consciously / unconsciously as if u have no feelings/ really don’t mind.

the campaign starts with me, who always treat a door with respect, same as for all other objects. wish u will join me to raise the collective consciousness.

the best birthday present

as if by divine plan, the 2 birthdays (lunar calendar and Gregorian calendar) of my daughter this year coincide 2 events :

the massive protest against the proposed extradition law that will seriously harm “one country two system” of Hong Kong ; and the opening of a new shop of one of our friends with an autism child.

to allow one’s presence / action to contribute positively to the world is always the best gift that one can give to oneself, particularly true on important days, be it about serious issues, or simply show up to give some support to people around us…

may we all realised that there are many more options to celebrate birthdays besides having parties..

may our presence always light up the world a bit and make it a better place 🙂

Me Me Me…

It’s quite surprising to see that even the economy has improved quite a lot recent decades, many people in “developing” country still got such a strong sense of urgency to fulfill one’s needs that they don’t even seem to be aware of others’ existence:

run for the empty seats in metro once the door is open;

stick so close to the person in front of line that almost hit his/ her bottom;

keep pushing / stand at counter even if the previous customer has not finished ordering;

sneezing without covering up;

spitting casually on floor even when someone is very close;

talk on phone loud and long in catering outlets / very crowded metro, almost directly into someone else’s ears;

…..

what’s more worrying is that many of the much more educated youngsters are doing this!

in this very materialistic and technological age, teaching the younger generation greater respect for / awareness of others is of utmost importance, so that they will not become selfish money making machines / super arrogant big egos …. or other species that fuel annihilation of the human race.

Space

Life is and will always be more beautiful with more space :

when we line up, there is no need to stick to the back of the one in front of u;

when there are many empty seats / table, it is often good to spread out;

when we talk, it will be much more graceful, effective / efficient / well received if we pause often;

temporary physical separation often help boost / refresh “old relationships”;

just if everyone is a little more conscious about maintaining more space within and among ourselves, the world will certainly be more sane and peaceful.

Absence

Dear God, please help us to focus on

not the absence of what we desire, but the absence of what we don’t want;

not the absence of physical form but the presence in our hearts.

help us realize that having / getting more does not necessarily mean good / better; and

not having / losing does not necessarily mean bad / worse

for the most powerful cannot be seen, and the most beautiful beyond physical form.

Holy Cows

Oh dear lovely cows near Po Lin Monastery, how amazing creatures u are!

u live your own leisure pace despite the world is spinning fast;

u keep eating grass undisturbed despite people around u keep yelling, posting, taking photos, looking, touching…

u gather in big group lying / sunbathing / resting in peace near busy bus stops..

i admire your existence. thank you for teaching us

non-reaction;

that we can be at ease under challenging circumstances;

that we can co-exist with another very different species;

that we can honor our own nature and be ourselves despite the rest of the world is very different…

may more of us see the holiness in u so we will stop doing harm to your fellow comrades who are not as lucky as you are.

May u all live long, have fun, enjoy the wonderful mountain, excellent air quality… and be our forever inspiring dear friends.
