many might have similar experiences. yet personally the last few yrs saw the message loud and clear with frequent and intense occurrences
major instances like daughter not able to stay NY after she graduated last year due to visa issue, not taking an offered job on cruise due to various reasons.. turned out to be a great blessing in disguise (as those r hardest hit places of the coronavirus)
very sudden death of my dad in 2017, again, perfect timing .could not have imagined how everything can be handled under current circumstances.
sale of our flat at a not very ideal price. now we see renovation work of external wall ongoing but halted and not have a target finishing date again due to the virus. much better be out of it early
sudden work deployment of my husband to a mainland city we have not even been to. an ordeal at the beginning turned out to be quite a pleasant experience in about 3 yrs
people who walked away from me / activities that used to be so important / places that i always visited, turned out not that indispensable. in fact feel much lighter and free when i detach from them.
people who r rude to us / hit us hard, often lead to our greater consciousness / teach us valuable lessons….
on the contrary, when we do get what we want, things might not be as good as we expected.
a flat we desired, we moved out after 1 yr due to water leakage
another big flat we desired, turned out to be surrounded by very inconsiderate neighbours who make loud noise almost daily till 3 -4 a.m.
even as simple as a dish of delicious / good looking foods, might cause sickness to our physical body after ingestion
…..
so that probably is a very important lesson we all need to learn in a life time :
let go / be aware of / lessen the judgement of good / bad for everything.
for, as a very wise ancient chinese saying goes, “good” and “bad” paves the way for each other
so, don’t be overjoyed when we get what we want , and do not be despair when our desire not fulfilled/ things do not turn out as we preferred / expected. for it is very often after some time, even yrs , that we realised the blessings in disguise and be really grateful for what happened.
certainly not easy when we r in the process, such as now, when fear and anxiety filled most part of the world and many r locked down. looking back later, we may all agree that it is kind of necessary evil for a big transformation.
in this Easter 2020, (as far as i remember, the first and hopefully the last yr where malls have no easter bunnys displayed), may we all learnt valuable lessons and rise from ash, for “it is in dying and that we r born to eternal life”
