too too time

probably by divine intervention, namaskar too too was brought from her birth place back to our home very last minute right before i closed the suitcase when i left hangzhou last dec. 2019.

at first i still regretted a bit for taking her away from her dad and the big home she used to enjoy esp. as it was a relatively calm dec. and jan.

now she has been with me here for almost 3 months, spending her 1st Christmas, new year, chinese new year, and my birthday with me here at our home.

her presence not only very much needed during the unexpected challenge of conronavirus, but a much deeper level of healing / awakening catalyzed by the recent turbulent collective energies.

after half a century, i finally learnt to put myself as the priority, instead of endlessly pleasing/ serving others at the expense of oneself.

the precious quiet too too time everyday is a great opportunity for me to nurture my very much wounded inner child, and to remind myself that my own well being shall come first, as this would be the best way to serve the world : a beacon of love, radiating with high frequency.

my mind have known this for years, but to put it into practice is a totally different matter. it takes courage, determination, wisdom….to say no, cut off, stay grounded despite the many pulls, … realising that nothing external – people, materials ,circumstances … can bring long lasting / real happiness

with the help of namaskar too too, i finally putting that in action.

a cuddly toy might not only essential to kids, but for adults. maybe even more so, to heal / balance more painful experience.

may we all learn to become self sufficient. knowing well that we r what we seek. be that love we so desire, and see what we can attract.

Blessings be to all

what goes up must come down

there is a chinese saying that when things get to the extreme, it will reverse

it is so amazing to have witnessed how fast situations can change / flip with this coronavirus that seem suddenly popped up from nowhere.

of course, it might have existed long time just covered up / not revealed to the public, or it has been incubating for a long time and suddenly “mature”…

anyway, it affects the whole world so quickly that our lives seem turned upside down so suddenly :

any activities / places that gather many people cancelled / closed : performance venues, churches, schools, office, sporting hall, libraries…

mainlanders, who were once so sought after by all businesses worldwide now become so unwelcoming

air travel, that were once so common / even taken for granted came to a halt

more and more countries shutting the doors to visitors from other countries / require quarantine / cancel visa free entries…

mask, an item / the product line of which almost obsolete now become the most sought after “necessities” worldwide.

tissue paper, something “so trivial”, now ran out from shelves.

businesses that were so promising before now closed down.

upscale malls once so packed with people now very empty…

it is a big reminder for us to be humble, loving, caring, sharing… knowing that the wheel is turning always, high / low; good/bad…

as Eckhart said, time of great suffering is also great opportunity for spiritual awakening.

may this happen rapidly properly

Blessings be to all

3/8/2020

a sunday, full moon, foggy day

we went the peak despite a little rain late p.m.

movie like scenery with big trees, lawns, fog, weak light from lamp posts…

surprisingly still quite many people.

families with kids, or elderly parents…

passionate tuck shop operator…

we had the privilege to try out milk tea and fresh made sandwich at the hilltop, windy, nothing to be seen, yet feeling very uplifted 🙂

a short adventure truly blessed, esp. when we noticed how heavy it has rained after we get down.

feel like such a different world only about 30 mins walk from the malls.

as the shop operator said, the virus has driven many out to the nature. sure a blessing in disguise.

more family time, health conscious, more exercise / outdoor activities, higher hygiene standards…

what appears so horrible might just be a chance to realign ourselves to the “right path”

may this joy / appreciation of nature continues after the threat stablised / fade out.

Blessings be to all

absence

we were recently selected to complete a general household survey. it was very tedious and contain many questions one never expect.

some of them r about physical / mental health e.g. is any kind of aids required for hearing / seeing / moving .. any kinds of special diseases; emotional conditions. ….

interestingly , a friend forward a link to me today showing photos of old hk probably in 50s.

kids have no shoes r common, not even pants.. people sitting / lying on the floor / staircases, working like robots in factories, pushing their ways to trains, lining up to get water during rationing period, muddy roads….

we normally focus too much on what we want but don’t have, forgetting to be grateful for the absence of things / situations that we don’t want.

may we all learn to appreciate our abundance and share it with others.

it is through greater consciousness, rather than constant accumulation of material possessions / social status …that true joyfulness can be found .

Blessings be to all

lunar birthday

it was a very blessed few hours period with sunny interval / no rain period amidst cloudy sky

almost like a private campus, i had the privileged to visit various catering outlets, seeing old friends, staying a while again after long time closure.

some decided to discontinued business, while others adapting to the new situation by changing menu / supplier / utensils, … having new seat mats, cushions, ovens, even staff…

so glad to see the vegetarian cafe even handed out free anti-plague sachets that has components same as + 2 more ingredients the one i have made.

similar challenges, different ways of coping. some quit, others adapt.

a few alumni seen bringing the whole family with kids for a walk / drawing.. something not possible before on a busy weekday .

i brought foods to feed hungry fishes this time. so glad to see there r still many big ones in the pond. still looks healthy judging from the color and vitality. the 2 big herons staying close to eye on the fishes while they gather for foods.

up in the hill, i enjoyed a sip of the lovely rooibo tea + a new red bean matcha bun with singing birds and blossoming flowers around

spring is here again. trees full of wonderful red, yellow flowers, so r cheery blossoms, bauhinia …

regeneration is on the way

time to let go of the past . with the precious lessons learnt, we create a bright future 🙂

time for recuperation

over 1 month after class was suspended and most staff working at home, the campus is unusually quiet. with a lot less human, the presence of trees, birds, fishes… more strongly perceived.

very glad to see more catering outlets/ cafes re opening even with shorter hours weeks after total shut down, and big birds and fishes around at the pond.

remnant of previous “battles” can still be seen yet workers r trying hard to replace / clean up floor tiles, glasses, escalators, walls….

it is a very risky period under the threat of coronavirus, yet also a quiet time for recuperation / regeneration.

things really seem to have turned after 2.22. 2020 , the day after the powerful Mahashivratri. the upsurge of energies probably facilitates letting go of the past and creation of the new.

this certainly will be something that will long be remembered : when tissue paper, masks, disinfectant … become even so precious / sought after.

the lucky thing is, despite everyone is wearing a mask / highly alert / staying home a lot more, people do not seem to panic too much. in fact compared to the previous 8 months when firing of tear gas / conflict with police were so frequent, feb is actually a more “peaceful” month. people seem “calmer / at ease”

meanwhile, what the collective has been desiring for so long is finally happening with such speed and intensity that no one could ever have imagined.

it is still uncertain how and when this virus can be finally handled / balanced but with the remarkable kindness, creativity, adaptability, strength, resilience… of hkers this challenge will certainly be tackled well, might even be an opportunity for a great transformation.

a few catering outlet / shops r already distributing masks/ disinfectant free with purchase. tissue paper supply is slowly resuming, and the govt just announced partial re opening of some outdoor facilities…

it is good to slow down sometimes. for reflection, getting rid of the old , connecting again with oneself / nature.

may we all be transformed into more loving, wise and conscious human beings. together we build a new world so that all beings can co-exist with joy, peace, harmony, freedom….

life under threats of coronavirus

3 weeks into lunar new year, life in hk far from normal

school suspension extended, gov’t department workers still work at home, public facilities still closed…

+ some very rare behavior occurred in this once was a free international city :

tissue run!!

all types were gone almost everywhere, also rice, masks….

people lined up long time to get just 1 / 2 mask .

quota imposed for purchase of disinfectants , wet tissue…

now almost everyone wears a mask, those who do not, seen as alien, even criminal…

some shop banned customer from entering without one.

yet there r still some positive sides under such fear :

more family time for parents and kids

much higher hygiene standard

flow of fresh air enabled as much as possible by opening door of buildings

and more importantly, a greater of sense of presence / mutual help / appreciation of simple things in life that we have always overlooked

shops now have much less customer and close earlier though people in general still calm and do go out shop and eat.

we still enjoy freedom to go out at our own risks and mask wearing not mandatory

supplies of daily necessities still fine though some items really out of stock..

like Eckhart said, we now appreciate every “holy encounter”, knowing well that the form, either the business/ venue / person might not be there next time, while trying our best to share our knowledge / love to help / cheer up each other

we r more fully present and grateful for a meal / clean water / a shower / a 15 min. jogging outside with fresh air, sunlight or even light rain…/ no new suspected or confirmed cases at our neighborhood / still being able to stay at home instead of being quarantined….

meanwhile, further north in the epicentre of this nature and/or man made outbreak, more and more unusual phenomena appeared :

thunder + lightning with snow / hail in 1st month of lunar new year

large groups of crow

heavy black smog in places where all industrial activities stopped

sun illusion – 5 suns appeared same time in sky

at the border, 40 billion locus travelling all the way from africa, eating up all crops on the way…

may the divine plan unfolds rapidly properly, that all transformation, purification… manifest with much love and consciousness

in faith, patience, strength, resilience, hope, … we await the new earth

beginning of spring 2020

this year, 立春 (beginning of spring) falls on 1/11 lunar calendar.

a new year that no chinese will forget

wuhan coronavirus seem suddenly popped up on 1/1 and caught every by surprise

in just 10 days, unprecedented events unfolded one after another …

lock down of the whole city, global evacuation of citizens from china, closing down of ports/ stopping flights altogether, …

locally, long suspension of schools, strike of medical staff , shut down of public facilities, 18 confirmed cases, 1 fatal…

following wuhan and hubei, hangzhou announced similar measures today to limit movement / gathering of people, making most to stay at home as much as possible.

this city, once so unfamiliar to us, has become almost like 2nd home for work reason.

my husband is actually planning for a return as the 2-3 year long project is due to finish in less than 2 months.

now he is facing another big challenge

may the divine plan unfolds rapidly properly, that all needs to be cleansed/ purified / transformed / created / manifested be done fast and well…

awaits a new earth ….

Blessings be to All

year of the Rat 2020

certainly a very special new year

a few day before the lunar new year, i had the 3rd jazz funk lesson with daughter at club house! hahahah… something i have not tried before!

lucky enough to have a very professional and patient teacher + other friendly classmates.

on 12/28 lunar, we visited science park. a very quiet night . enjoyed wonderful dessert and tea overlooking the sea + nice and generous staff who offered us wonderful service and even offered to buy us cakes.

29 , a quiet alone walk at sai kung seeing big egrets, old friends.. 2 organic shops and a fashion boutique we used to visit were closed.

30, another unplanned visit to a soup shop at city one at night . home feel like nice staff, saw very cute pe pe held by a couple walked by ..

then at mid night , a suspected wu han virus case was confirmed here at our estate. club house shut down for deep cleansing on 1/1 lunar and staff in full gear were deployed. ..

most people now wear masks.

luckily people r in general still calm. no panic. still giving out lai sees, greeting each other

after almost 2 months prc finally admit the outbreak and take drastic measures to shut down the whole wu han over night, with other cities and province quickly follow suit

meanwhile, the virus keep spreading fast globally. confirmed cases in many countries

just a few months ago govt imposed anti-mask law, now even the police wear it, big irony

and , remember the fear / threat of shutting down hk under the “emergency ordinance”?

now more and more major cities of the 1 country is locked out.

and , thanks to sars 17 yrs ago, hkers r much less fearful , yet more prepared to cope with unknown virus.

great examples of the constant shift between yin / yang, good/bad…

as with everything, there r pros and cons.

threat / danger / risks force us all to live more presently, gratefully.

this year, more people greet each other “good health” , instead of “getting rich”, and both the giver and receiver of red packets appear to be more genuine in their blessings. ..

all r reminded to be grateful for life / the very basic survival

may we all learn much again from this challenge, that all needs to be transformed be completed well and fast

let all no longer required be purified, cleansed, cleared, re organised….

looking forward to a new order, new earth

blessings be to all

the sat. before chinese new year

it was a very longed for trip. 2 months after the war at cu near bridge 2, i finally had a chance to visit nearby areas.

very surprisingly escalators leading to the cafe + cafe entrance still closed with repair work ongoing.

even more unexpected was how so many people turned up at the cafe / nearby which normally is rather quiet on sat. .

people need to line up to take the lift, and staircases full of people going up and down.

later i realised there was a conference about positive thoughts. free talks open to public. i had a glimpse into the lecture room. very full.

3rd surpise : big group of birds, probably heron, flying over lotus pond. a sight i have not seen before. big contrary to what one might expect : a decline in no. of wildlife there after much teargas.

again, there were many signs of silver lining after that battle :

“old couples” / “elderly” strolling at lotus pond, talking about that incident 2 months ago , or simply quietly stood and look at the sports ground, which was devastated before, still closed…

many people, mostly non cuers, came to attend the conference, generating much positive energies at this place where healing / balancing is much needed

up at the hill, a team of people taking wedding photos, alumni with kid searching their names on plate or simply sitting for a while, others took photos at the iconic outdoor theatre…

me also enjoyed some quiet alone time sitting, enjoying a sip of tea , cake.. realising that this has rarely happened in the past 30+ yrs…

that’s the beauty of choas / disturbances : great lesson of impermanence of all forms thus making one live more thankfully and consciously

i look forward to much more deep V rebounce, knowing and having faith that all serve a higher purpose, though might be very challenging / heart breaking.

may we all get stronger, wiser, more loving, conscious….

Blessings be to all
