what a difference a day makes
a relatively peaceful p.m. when T3 (typhoon signal no. 3) was just hoisted, i decided to drive to a nearby beach hoping for some no rain period to move / exercise.
it was just a 5 min. drive yet rain and wind suddenly became so heavy and strong that i decided not to get out of the car after stopped at the nearby outdoor car park. it would be an instant shower even with umbrella . instead, turned back home.
how unbelievable that the typhoon grew into a T8 at night, even T9 early next morning. then dramatically leaving swiftly so that by around 11 a.m., all signals were lowered!
i seldom remember such intense typhoon come and go so fast, in just 24 hours!
after all signals were lowered, about same time as the day before, i decided to go to the same beach again, this time on foot.
it was a very peaceful scene with few people and activities. leaves / twigs everywhere on the ground, even a big tree trunk at the place i normally go was washed away.
yet the space feel very clean. birdies are out, so r some determined joggers…
i can’t help saying a BIG THANK YOU to the universe for all the blessings, esp. when half of china is already under water and rain continued for more than a month in Korea, earthquake in phillipines….
i trust that every kind thought, word and deed help. no matter how little / small we think it is.
mooncake already on sale. mid autumn festival only about 5 weeks away.
may we use this great opportunity to show our love and concerns for those in need. e.g. elderly living alone.
it is our kind hearts and acts that attract all blessings.
keep shining 🙂
