over 1 month after class was suspended and most staff working at home, the campus is unusually quiet. with a lot less human, the presence of trees, birds, fishes… more strongly perceived.
very glad to see more catering outlets/ cafes re opening even with shorter hours weeks after total shut down, and big birds and fishes around at the pond.
remnant of previous “battles” can still be seen yet workers r trying hard to replace / clean up floor tiles, glasses, escalators, walls….
it is a very risky period under the threat of coronavirus, yet also a quiet time for recuperation / regeneration.
things really seem to have turned after 2.22. 2020 , the day after the powerful Mahashivratri. the upsurge of energies probably facilitates letting go of the past and creation of the new.
this certainly will be something that will long be remembered : when tissue paper, masks, disinfectant … become even so precious / sought after.
the lucky thing is, despite everyone is wearing a mask / highly alert / staying home a lot more, people do not seem to panic too much. in fact compared to the previous 8 months when firing of tear gas / conflict with police were so frequent, feb is actually a more “peaceful” month. people seem “calmer / at ease”
meanwhile, what the collective has been desiring for so long is finally happening with such speed and intensity that no one could ever have imagined.
it is still uncertain how and when this virus can be finally handled / balanced but with the remarkable kindness, creativity, adaptability, strength, resilience… of hkers this challenge will certainly be tackled well, might even be an opportunity for a great transformation.
a few catering outlet / shops r already distributing masks/ disinfectant free with purchase. tissue paper supply is slowly resuming, and the govt just announced partial re opening of some outdoor facilities…
it is good to slow down sometimes. for reflection, getting rid of the old , connecting again with oneself / nature.
may we all be transformed into more loving, wise and conscious human beings. together we build a new world so that all beings can co-exist with joy, peace, harmony, freedom….
