a special chinese new yr, with the 3rd day falls on 2/14

a series of unprecedented events / action pre and post cny

new and much harsher standard regarding release on bail by supreme court

concord off zones daily esp. at yau ma dei, jordon, … mandatory testing and not allowing people to leave home (most results : no case found at all in many occasions after testing thousands of people)

require mandatory testing for the whole building even if only 1 case is found long time ago.

and just announced at cny eve, code scanning required to enter all gov’t buildings, restaurants…temple, and many other public areas. recording people’s whereabout for “easy tracking”.

in fact vehicle licence have already been “equipped” with a qr code so that all cameras on roads can easily track

more and more it seems we live in a big prison . being monitored all the time. even on / near small beaches r cameras “to watch for unlawful dumping of rubbish into the sea / roadside”

people even encouraged to exercise at home even no. of cases continued to drop to only about 20 for 7M+ people!….

it’s yet to see how business owners / customers will react to the new requirements. maybe very creative solutions / simply a change in habit.

some for work reason forced to install / being tracked / tested…

yet it seems a silent majority is rather awakened/ conscious. it’s a test about how much of them r not willing be tracked / monitored.

shopping / eating habit may change. even relocation . the impact might be far reaching, and a lot intense than the govt thought. business might actually drop despite a relaxation in opening hrs and no. of people allowed per table.

people might vote with their feet to demonstrate how much they dont want to be controlled.

we already seeing a big shift in buying pattern, with a lot more home deliveries by various companies. when finally code scanning is required for entering malls / supermarkets… it might be the day when decentralization finally occur, and monopolies dissolve

price of those properties near mall might drop too, as it now becomes more useful / convenient / needed to live near a farm / small stores ..than a mall.

overseas, more suppression of peaceful dissident leading to massive protests, int’l sanction..

locally a 70+ media founder denied bail for 2.5 months..

earthquake and tsunami near NZ…

yet new flats by the sea here under construction still sold at record price

and 2nd hand market no sign of a major correction though some people r selling as they leave the city

a lot certainly waiting to change and sure new “normal” will unfold

i had the privilege to start the cny with morning yoga on a small beach, a sunny warm day blessed with some dry land.

that late p.m., a roadside restaurant that is “quite remote” packed with families. staff super busy to handle all orders before closing time.

i wonder if the other extreme might happen in just a few days when the new code scanning requirement be in force.

catering industry already very hard hit. with a very controversial new policy and other requirements on staff, another wave of closure possible.

may the human and financial resources be released and channeled into more positive ways for the greater good of all.

that more attention / focus be shifted from eating to spiritual evolution / overall well being.

then we might have to thank these messengers from god who drag / push us all to paradise! hahahaahah
